Photographic scrolls in the “24 Frames” project are my visual response to the impact of speed on sensory perception, recognition and memory. In some scrolls, the spatial constraint of a 24-frame roll of film dictates the construction of the image. In others, a 24-minute interval of time shapes the image. Liminal impressions mix with recognizable forms, the way they might appear to a passenger in a speeding vehicle, or transported in a dream or when carried by the tide of history and currents of powerful social movements.
